Towns To Trails Workshop (Bridgeport & Walker)

Calendar Date:
Wednesday, June 12, 2024 - 5:00pm

Bridgeport: Annex I, CAO Conference Room
74 N. School St., Bridgeport, CA

Walker: Antelope Valley Senior Center
399 Mule Deer Road, Walker, CA

To ensure outreach to unincorporated communities, Mono County is separately providing remote meeting locations in Bridgeport and Walker that will tie into the workshop on June 12 at 5 pm. Map exercises are expected, so please join one of the physical meeting locations listed above or the main meeting site at the Civic Center, Mono Lake Room, 1290 Tavern Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA.

The Eastern Sierra Towns to Trails Plan will identify a multi-use network that will connect Eastern Sierra communities to each other and to public lands throughout the region as well as to destinations south and north such as Lake Tahoe. The project parallels the Eastern Sierra escarpment (west of Highway 395), from northern Alpine County, through Mono County, and on into southern Inyo County, a distance of approximately 200 miles. The Trails Plan will build upon existing trail and soft-surface infrastructure in the region and will take advantage of existing priorities for trail connectivity already developed by federal land managers along with stakeholder ideas.

Please note: Mono County is only providing the remote meeting locations but is not staff to this project. For more information, please visit the project website at https://www.townstotrails.org/ or email info@townstotrails.org.
