Mono County Releases 2024-2025 Annual Report, Highlighting Resilience and Strategic Investments in Housing, Safety, and Community
BRIDGEPORT, CA (December 9, 2025) – Mono County is proud to announce the official release of its Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024–2025, covering the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The comprehensive document serves as an accessible resource for residents, detailing the County’s financial health, strategic planning, and significant achievements across all departments.
The 2024-2025 report showcases key progress in areas vital to the Eastern Sierra community, including:
- Housing Stability: Proactive investment, including the allocation of $2.5 million in additional funding to the Affordable Housing Fund and the strategic acquisition of a 5-unit property in Bridgeport to convert to long-term workforce housing.
- Public Safety: Major advancements in infrastructure, including the Funding Approval for the New Jail Facility, and community resilience through the expansion of the Firewise USA program.
- Fiscal Health: Detailed financial transparency, outlining the $169.8 Million Adopted Budget and illustrating how property tax dollars are allocated to essential services, schools, and special districts.
- Community Vitality: Continued support for local culture and economy through the awarding of $64,000 in grants to non-profit organizations for events, arts, and history.
The report emphasizes that the County's success is rooted in its commitment to core values: collaboration, integrity, innovation, and outstanding customer service, all guiding the mission to ensure rural livability and environmental stewardship.
Lynda Salcido, Chair of the Mono County Board of Supervisors (District 5), underscored the importance of the collective effort detailed in the report.
