The Breatfeeding Taskforce provides education and advocates for issues related to breastfeeding. We work on several fun and exciting projects throughout the year: Babies on Parade, Kidapalooza, July 4th Festivities, Baby Friendly Hospital Status, and more! NPAT was created to address the rising overweight and obesity rates in Mono County. While some believe that this is not a local problem, the data shows that indeed Mono County is following the nation's trend that 1 out of 3 children and 2 out of 3 adults are overweight or obese. So, what are we doing to address this local problem?
The Local Oral Health Coalition strives to promote oral health in children and adults throughout Mono County. We are a multi-agency collaborative, which provides oral health education and prevention opportunities to our residents.
