Walker River Fishing Regulations

Fishing Regulations on the East Walker River

At the request of the Bridgeport Valley Regional Planning Advisory Committee (RPAC), the Mono County Board of Supervisors sent a letter (attached) to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) objecting to the new fishing regulations and advocating for year-round catch-and-release angling with barbless artificial lures and a zero trout limit. The California Fish and Game Commission is considering the request at the August 18, 2021, meeting starting at 9:00 am. The item is #25.B. on the attached agenda, and public comment will be taken via Zoom webinar. Please see the attached agenda for instructions to join the webinar.
