Notice of Vacancy - LAFCO Alternate Public Member

The Mono County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) is soliciting interested residents to serve as an Alternate Public Member. If interested in serving as an Alternate Public Member, please complete the attached LAFCO Public Member Alternate Application and contact Kelly Karl at kkarl@mono.ca.gov 760-924-1809 or Heidi Willson at hwillson@mono.ca.gov or 760-924-1804. Nominations must be received by May 23, 2022. Nominations received after that date will not be considered.

LAFCO is a seven-member commission comprised of representatives of the Mono County Board of Supervisors, the Mammoth Lakes Town Council, Special Districts (fire, water, public utility, community services, mosquito abatement, etc.), and the public, and is charged with ensuring orderly growth and development, logical boundaries, efficient services, and preserving agricultural lands and open space.
