Mountain View Fire Resources and Recovery Update
MOUNTAIN VIEW FIRE COMMUNITY SHARING OPPORTUNITY
Following the devastation brought by the Mountain View Fire, the Nevada Resilience Project and Mono County are providing a third “Community Sharing Opportunity” for all residents and those impacted by the fire event. The event will be held Saturday, April 15th at 1PM at the Antelope Valley Community Center. Details can be accessed on the portal: https://mountain-view-fire-incident-monomammoth.hub.arcgis.com/.
DEBRIS REMOVAL UPDATE
Seven Cal OES crews have been working in the community since the end of March to clear debris from properties. As of Monday (04/12), a total of 28 properties have been cleared. Cal OES estimates that they will finish this phase of the debris removal process by the beginning of May 2021.
As a reminder, you will be notified by Cal OES 5-7 days prior to debris removal activity beginning on your property, and then again 24-48 hours before.

“The information we collect through this survey helps our nonprofit and our local partners support your community during the long term recovery. Data collected also helps inform our advocacy work and identify how regulations and laws can be strengthened to support disaster survivors and insurance consumers.
