May 19, 2026 Board Meeting Highlights

Presentation from Eastern Sierra Business Resource Center on Sierra Jobs First Project Implementation: The Board of Supervisors received a presentation from Meryl Picard, Executive Director, Eastern Sierra Business Resource Center on its 2025 accomplishments and programs serving Inyo and Mono Counties, along with 2026 goals to expand regional business support services.
Update on County Air Curtain Burners: The Board of Supervisors received an update on the status of the air curtain burner delivered to Pumice Valley in March 2026, the portable air curtain burner planned through the Eastern Sierra Council of Governments grant, and vouchers for green waste removal.
Pack Fire Update, Acceptance of Bid Protest, and Rejection of All Bids for Debris Cleanup: Upon staff recommendation, the Board of Supervisors accepted the bid protest for the Pack Fire debris cleanup as valid and rejected both bids. Staff was then directed to issue a new invitation for bids.
Public Hearing - Short-Term Rental Activity Permit (June Lake): The Board of Supervisors held a Public Hearing regarding the STR Activity Permit for a short-term rental at the Edgewater Condos #19 at 100 Knoll Avenue in June Lake (APN # 015-076-019-000) with a maximum occupancy of six guests and two vehicles per stay. The application was approved subject to the conditions provided in the staff report.
