January 20, 2026 Meeting Highlights

2025 Mono County Spirit Award: The Board awarded Carolyn Balliet with the sixth annual Mono County Community Spirit Award for her outstanding devotion and commitment to her community and to Mono County.
Appointment of Emergency Standby Officials: The Board adopted a resolution regarding the appointment of Emergency Standby Officials pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act to ensure continuity of county government if conditions of disaster prevent one or more members of the Board of Supervisors, or the County Administrative Officer, from carrying out their official duties.
2025 California Building Codes Adoption: The Board conducted a workshop and introduced, read title, and waived the first reading of an ordinance to adopt the 2025 California Building Codes. The Board also directed staff to hold a public hearing per state law at the Board's next regular meeting on February 3 on the proposed ordinance.
Resolution Authorizing Submission of a Community Development Block Grant Application: The Board adopted a resolution authorizing the CAO or designee to submit a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to the California Department of Housing and Community Development and to execute all related documents required for the application and implementation of the project.
