Chapter 16 ADUs - Request for Comments
At the March 10 RPAC meeting, it was requested that a redline version of the proposed Chapter 16 updates for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) be sent out for comment. Please note that the majority of updates are required by state law and the County does not have discretion on modifying. The two items that the County has discretion on are located at the bottom of the document as policy discussions. Staff is primarily seeking comment on the potential prohibition of short-term rentals in all ADUs. State law prohibits ADUs in units qualifying under 16.040A, but the County has the ability to potentially extend that prohibition to all ADUs.
