11/03/2020 - Mono County May Face Increased Restrictions as Covid-19 Cases Rise

Over the last two weeks, Mono County has experienced an increase in COVID19 (Coronavirus) cases significant enough to threaten our current Tier 3 “Moderate” (orange) status within the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy (Blueprint). Most of the new cases are associated with the U.S. Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) in northern Mono County (Pickel Meadows), with over 60 cases reported to the county by the Marine base since the outbreak was identified on October 21.
