Mono County Opens Local Assistance Center to Support Residents Impacted by the Pack Fire; Local Assistance Center to Provide One-Stop Access to Recovery Resources

MONO COUNTY, Calif. (NOVEMBER 19, 2025) – Mono County is opening a Local Assistance Center (LAC) to support residents affected by the Pack Fire. The LAC will operate Friday, November 21, 2025, from 9:00AM to 7:00PM at the Crowley Lake Community Center, providing a single, centralized location where individuals and families can access free disaster-recovery resources, speak with County staff, and connect with state and community partners offering critical support.

The LAC is designed to help residents navigate the recovery process with efficiency and care. Multiple agencies will be onsite to provide assistance with documentation, rebuilding resources, health and human services, financial relief programs, and more.

County Agencies Onsite Include:

  • Animal Services – Lost animal reports, pet food, and supplies
  • Assessor’s Office – Calamity documents and adjusted valuations
  • Behavioral Health – Immediate support and counseling resources
  • Building & Planning – Demolition, repairs, rebuilding, construction guidance
  • Clerk-Recorder – Replacement of vital records (birth, death, marriage), real estate/property documents, and business filings at no cost
  • Environmental Health – Water systems, private wells, hazardous waste/materials
  • Social Services – CalFresh Replacement Benefits, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, and additional aid
  • Solid Waste Division – Recycling, transfer stations, landfill information

State and Community Partners Include:

  • California Department of Insurance
  • California Department of Public Health
  • Contractors State License Board (Virtual)
  • Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) – Replacement of driver’s licenses, ID cards, and vehicle documents
  • Eastern Sierra Community Housing
  • Mono County Office of Education
  • American Red Cross – Disaster Action Team
  • Additional state and community-based organizations
