Courage to Change – Transforming Relationships, Ending Abuse
Mono County’s Courage to Change Batterer’s Intervention Program empowers individuals to break the cycle of domestic violence and build healthier, respectful relationships. Grounded in Nada York’s evidence-based curriculum, the program helps participants explore the roots of abusive behavior—from power and control dynamics to cultural beliefs and family history.
The program consists of 52 weeks of interactive, same-gender group sessions, participants learn to identify and stop all forms of abuse—physical, emotional, sexual, economic, and verbal. The program goes beyond awareness, teaching real-life skills in communication, conflict resolution, and anger management, while highlighting the profound impact of violence on victims and children.
Through accountability, honesty, and active participation, Courage to Change guides individuals toward lasting change—creating safer homes and stronger communities.

El Programa de Intervención para Personas que Ejercen Violencia Doméstica Courage to Change del Condado de Mono empodera a las personas para romper el ciclo de la violencia doméstica y construir relaciones más sanas y respetuosas. Basado en el plan de estudios comprobado de Nada York, el programa ayuda a los participantes a explorar las raíces del comportamiento abusivo, desde la dinámica de poder y control hasta las creencias culturales y la historia familiar.
Durante 52 semanas de sesiones grupales interactivas con personas del mismo género, los participantes aprenden a identificar y detener todo tipo de abuso: físico, emocional, sexual, económico y verbal. El programa va más allá de la concienciación, enseñando habilidades prácticas para la comunicación, la resolución pacífica de conflictos y el manejo de la ira, además de destacar el profundo impacto de la violencia en las víctimas y los niños.
A través de la responsabilidad, la honestidad y la participación activa, Courage to Change guía a las personas hacia un cambio duradero, creando hogares más seguros y comunidades más fuertes.

Diseñado para padres, madres y cuidadores involucrados con la corte, libertad condicional o servicios de protección infantil, este programa te ayudará a:
