The community of Benton is located in the southwest section of Mono County along Highway 6. Benton borders the Nevada state line and provides access to Tonopah via Highway 6 to the east, Bishop to the south, and Lee Vining/ Mono Lake via the spectacular Highway 120 to the northwest. Benton is rich in history due to a once-booming mining industry; and is currently famous for its natural hot springs. The surrounding area also provides plenty of opportunity for off-road adventures and hiking in the White Mountain Range.  A gas station, café, and Historic Benton Hot Springs provide services to travelers and locals alike.
