April 7, 2026 Board Meeting Highlights

  • Sexual Assault Awareness Month: The Board of Supervisors adopted a Proclamation designating the month of April 2026 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. 
  • Child Abuse Prevention Month: The Board of Supervisors adopted a Proclamation designating the month of April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
  • National County Government Month: The Board of Supervisors adopted a Proclamation designating the month of April 2026 as National County Government Month.  
  • Letter of Support of Senate Bill (SB) 973 - Wildfire County Coordinator Program: The Board of Supervisors executed a letter of support of SB 973 which formalizes and expands California’s Wildfire County Coordinator Program providing long-term support for local coordinators to improve wildfire mitigation, home hardening, and emergency planning. It officially places the program in statute to enhance local capacity for resilience in high-risk areas, with $9.5 million allocated in the 2025-26 budget to support 47 counties. 
  • Pack Fire Funding: The Board of Supervisors approved the funding plan for the Pack Fire cleanup Phase II. This approval follows the State's decision to fund 75 percent of the Phase II debris-removal process through the California Disaster Assistance Act.
