MONO COUNTY ALERT: Evacuation Order Issued for White Mountain Estates; Evacuation Center Opened at the Benton Community Center

An evacuation order has been issued for the White Mountain Estates as a result of a wildfire burning just north of Laws.  Multiple fire agencies are currently responding to the incident, and Highway 6 has been closed, with traffic being diverted north on Highway 395, South on Highway 120 to Benton Crossing.  An evacuation center has been opened at the Benton Community Center (58869 Hwy 120, Benton, CA 93512) to assist impacted residents.
