Good Morning,
As many are likely aware, a small section of U.S. 395 will fully close for 15 days while crews install two wildlife crossings underneath the roadway as part of the Sonora Junction Shoulders Project. During the closure, there will be no vehicle access between the closure points, and there will be a detour through Nevada.
US 395 section closed: just south of Burcham Flat Road to just south of Sonora Junction (108)
Closing: 6:00am on Wednesday, September 4th
Reopening: 6:00am on Thursday, September 19th
OPEN: Bridgeport, Topaz, Walker, Coleville, Monitor Pass, Sonora Pass, Twin Lakes (Bridgeport) will all be open and accessible.
Local businesses are open (some with special or reduced hours, please check ahead) and will greatly appreciate your support during the detour.
