Helllo,
The road crews have continued to make some progress and are now past Yosemite Creek (approximately 21 miles). Progress has been slow due to dense snow but our road crew supervisors feel like they should find lighter snow next week. Over the weekend, there were quite a few equipment break-downs. For much of this past weekend, we had one blower and one dozer working on Tioga Road. The break-downs were quickly repaired, but these did cause delays on progress.
Our avalanche crews are continuing to work primarily on the Olmstead area.
During a snow survey, a crew made a site visit to Tuolumne Meadows. They discovered that approximately 80% of the housing structures have been badly damaged. Other key structures around the developed area also sustained some damage. The full extent of the damage is still unknown due to large amount of snow still covering structures.
Any questions please reach out,
Thanks,
Mark Krebs
