Mountain View Fire Resources and Recovery Update

Cleanup Status

The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) completed Phase 1 (Hazardous Waste) of the cleanup on Saturday, January 9th.  Phase 2 of the cleanup is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 2nd.  A completed Right-of-Entry (ROE) form is REQUIRED by Monday, February 1st in order to participate in Phase 2 of the cleanup.  The ROE form can be accessed here [1], and on the portal [2].

Community Workshop Series

Given the upcoming holiday, the next Mountain View Fire Community Workshop will be held on Monday, January 25th at 5PM.  Details will be available via the portal [2].

Donation Assistance Center

Mono County has officially extended the agreement to host the Donation Assistance Center at the Walker Community Center.  The Donation Assistance Center is open Monday - Saturday, 9AM - 4PM.  The Donation Assistance Center Facebook Group can be accessed here [3].

United Policyholders

Valerie Brown, Senior Program Officer from United Policyholders provided an overview and Insurance and Recovery Guidance during the January 11th MVF Community Workshop.  A recording of the MVF Community Workshop can be accessed via the portal, and Ms. Brown’s presentation can be accessed here [4].  Additional programs and resources from United Policyholders can be accessed here [5].
