Thank you to all who attended the Substance Use Taskforce (name still to be determined) meeting. We appreciate the time and effort put into attending and being an engaged participant. We had great discussions, all of which we will continue at future meetings. Attached to this email are meeting notes, Motivational Interview training information in March, sign in sheet with emails, and a job flyer for the Health Program Coordinator vacancy at the Health Department.
You can also find all meeting notes, future meeting dates, and county resources related to substance use at Substance Use Taskforce webpage [1]. This county webpage will continue to grow and be updated regularly. If you would like to add something to this page, resources, webinars, training dates etc., please email Jacinda Croissant at jcroissant@mono.ca.gov [2]. Also, email Jacinda with any additional information that was left out of the meeting notes and any corrections. She will update and post meeting notes to the Substance Use Taskforce Webpage [1].
We would also like to get your feedback about this group; such as appropriate name to use, mission, vision, values, and priority trainings needed for professionals or members of the community to inform and reduce stigma around substance use. So please take a brief moment to fill out this anonymous survey [3].
Our next meeting will be on April 8, 2020, 1:30-3:30pm [4], Mammoth Lakes (specific meeting location to be determined). This is a transitional time for county offices, offices will be merging into one building until we can move into the new building. So this may be an opportune time to have the meeting at the Mammoth Hospital if possible. We are open to thoughts or suggestions which can be sent to jcroissant@mono.ca.gov [2].
Thank you for your interest in the Substance Use Taskforce and we look forward to another engaging meeting in the spring.
