American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles will be coming to Mono County to provide training to anyone interested in becoming a Red Cross Emergency Shelter Volunteer!
Mono County has identified 14 locations across the entire county to open as Emergency Shelters in the event of a disaster. We have a limited list of volunteers to call upon to work these shelters and are looking for more community members to assist in the opening and running of a shelter.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a certified Red Cross Volunteer, please contact me to RSVP for this training by 8/30/13. Marlo Preis 760-924-1793, mpreis [at] mono [dot] ca [dot] gov, PO Box 2969, MammothLakes, CA 93546
There is a great need for volunteers in: Benton, Chalfant, Lee Vining, June Lake, Bridgeport and Walker/Coleville.
If you live in these areas or anywhere in Mono County and want to help, please join us for the training.
If you like, after the training, you can also be placed on the Red Cross list of volunteers to help out nationwide!
