June Lake Trails Committee

The June Lake Trails committee (a subcommittee of the June Lake CAC) has met many times over the past several year to help promote trail development in the June Lake area.

The subcommittee has worked to further study the Down Canyon area to designate a trail that would follow existing trails as well as create some new connections from the Gull Lake Campground to the Fern Creek Trailhead/Double Eagle Resort.

The intent is to study a corridor to provide non-motorized access from the Village to the Down Canyon area with public support and outreach.

After two public workshops this summer (7/15 & 8/22), we are asking community members and interested individuals to complete a short online survey.  The survey will remain active from October 5-31, 2017.

All the maps used for the above survey are located at:

A copy of these maps will also be made available at the June Lake Library.  Staff and the consultant will prepare a final report and recommendation to be presented at a future June Lake Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting in late spring/early summer of 2018.
