Attached is a recent notice from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding listing of the local sage grouse population as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. Due to the potential impact of this action on the Mono County region, this information is being distributed to all Regional Planning Advisory email lists. A map attached illustrates the proposed critical habitat area for sage grouse, yellow-legged frog, and Yosemite toad. Please note that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife is holding meetings Nov. 5 in Bishop and Nov. 6 in Smith Valley.
