  • Welcome to the Mono County Career Services Center

    The federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) was signed into law on August 7, 1998 and provides the framework for a unique national workforce preparation and employment system designed to meet both the needs of the nation's businesses and the needs of job seekers and those who want to further their careers. The Act superseded the earlier Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) and was designed to allow greater flexibility in local decision-making.

    CalJOBS

    Accessing and entering information into CalJOBS allows employers to save time and insure the accuracy of employment needs.

    Access to a wide range of skilled applicants
    By listing openings on CalJOBS, employers gain access to the largest single pool of applicants in Mono County. Testing and assessment of applicants’ skills and aptitudes are analyzed.

    Many employers in Mono County use the Career Services Center to help fill job vacancies. These opportunities are available to you via CalJOBS. Hundreds of jobs in Mono County and thousands throughout California are listed in the CalJOBS computer system. You can enroll yourself, look for jobs and enter your resume on CalJOBS in our resource room. If you haven’t used a computer before and would like help in enrolling in CalJOBS, we can provide assistance.
